  • We help you to understand the digital market and to choose the right music

    We give you market understanding. Our Artists and Repertoire people get their knowledge from scouring the internet and see who has the highest listenership on streaming platforms, the most YouTube likes etc., and they will help you to understand where the competition is toughest and what are the music pieces that have the biggest potential for your orchestra. This will give you an overview of the market and help you to understand what music could create interest.

  • We are not alone

    Nordic Sound Label will be a member of a trade association like DUP. Trade associations are a vital piece of the independent music ecosystem, offering advocacy, education, and community resources to independents. And we are a member of Merlin: an association representing independent labels (all genres) in order to get better deals and visibility with the major streaming platforms. (https://merlinnetwork.org)

  • The production, Mixing and Mastering

    We can (but normally don’t) take care of the production and make sure that the music is mixed and mastered professionally, leaving you just to concentrate on playing. It can be more beneficial if the orchestra takes care of this itself since you have the local contacts and know your facilities.

  • Plugging your music

    We do the plugging of your music to Spotify, Apple, Amazon, etc. as well as the relevant radio stations. At the beginning, Merlin will help us taking care of that. But over time – when we build up the catalogue - we will gain negotiating power and plug our music to the streaming platforms ourselves.

  • We distribute your music

    As a distributor, we deliver your music, metadata, and assets to digital partners. We deliver your content and make sure that it meets the professional specifications of each digital music service (preferably, distribution will happen together with The Orchard).

  • We handle your rights

    We help you to control your digital rights and make sure that they are free from obligations to third parties. We will make sure that the released music is properly tagged and classified for you to be able to collect any of the proceeds.

  • We do marketing

    PR and communication, Social Media, Web Presence: We can help you to generate interest about the music, arranging as many interviews and features as possible, both online and in traditional publications. We publish your music on the Nordic Sounds YouTube channel and/or on the orchestra’s individual channel. we can do you SoMe work. Social media is a vital way for the orchestras to stay current and relevant for their audience. Graphics and artwork for albums and other releases. We will make sure that the artist and the album is present on the web. We’ll make sure that you’re in Google’s Knowledge Panel when you search them by name, that they are on Wikipedia, that their Bio is accurate and that there are links to the music, live dates, etc.
